Tall tales and true. Moses Wiggins is the collective heartbeat of Nick John and Keith Thompson, a collaboration of story and song that combines virtuoso guitar-playing with traditional and contemporary storytelling. Acoustic music in the folk/blues style and prose of poignancy and humour, the 'WordSong' show uses multi-media formats, short films and sound FX to enhance the spoken word and musical performance to present a unique and compelling event.
Moses Wiggins started life in 1997 as a folk-rock outfit. Songs were built around the lyrics of vocalist Nick John. In truth Moses Wiggins was always a musical collective, the initial band nucleus being supplemented with a diverse group of "guest artists" and additional musicians, such as Phil Beer (Show Of hands), Claire Hamilton (harp) and Paul Burgess (guitar and vocals), Steve Cricket and Nick Quarmby (Colvin & Quarmby).
