In this Mini Series Echo Sound Works explains the powerful Serum Unison feature and ways to get dynamic sound out of Serum using this engine. Over the next 20 minutes you will learn the most powerful section of Xfer's Serum to better understand this beast of a synth.
Many plugin developers have sought to meticulously emulate traditional analog hardware synthesizers. While Xfer Records Serum is certainly capable of this, its true power shines through in its massive arsenal of over 100 truly unique digital wavetables such as CrushWub, Scream, EvolSweep, and Misfits. Wavetables are organized in to four categories: ANALOG, DIGITAL, SPECTRAL, and VOWEL, with an additional USER section that stores any wavetables that you create yourself via the WAVETABLE EDITOR.
Each of Xfer Records Serum’s oscillator modules also contains a powerful unison section that allows you to stack up to 16 voices per oscillator, as well as controls for determining the position of the wavetable relative to incoming MIDI information.
