GNS Animator4 version 2.1.2 (Win) | 163MB
GNS - Gesellschaft für Numerische Simulation mbH introduces Animator4 version 2.1.2, is a post-processor for a wide range of finite element analysis (FEA) applications.
The Oasys Suite of software, exclusively written for LS-DYNA, is at the leading edge of the pre- and post-processing markets and is used worldwide by many of the largest LS-DYNA customers.
The program is based on almost 20 years of experience in project work for the automotive industry and its predecessor Animator3. Started in the early '90s, earlier versions of the program were exclusively developed for the automobile manufacturers VOLKSWAGEN and AUDI.
Animator3 gained respect within a wide range of engineering companies. While some users still appreciate the minimalistic and mainly command line driven interface of Animator3, most users prefer a more capable and customizable user interface. Animator4 augments its predecessor's qualities with a modern graphical user interface, based on Qt©. At the same time it keeps the highly optimized OpenGL code from Animator3. Thus Animator4 has been well received and continues the success story of Animator3.
Animator4 Version 2.1.2 ffers following enhancements:
- fixes in femzip-Support for Animator4 Database
- improved rendering performance of solids when cross section is enabled
- improved performance of large lists (ranking dialog, curve list, curve import)
- improved performance for animated gif playback
- modification of curve order in curve view
- restore User-IDs in modular ERFH5 if only single module exists
About GNS - Gesellschaft für Numerische Simulation mbH
GNS - Gesellschaft für Numerische Simulation mbH was founded as a German-based engineering company by a group of engineering analysis experts in 1994.
Originally dedicated to offering customer service for the automotive industry in the fields of crash analysis and forming simulation, GNS is now a competent partner in a wide range of engineering analysis applications.
GNS also develops customized software tools, mainly in order to optimize virtual development processes, and advises companies on how to integrate numerical analysis in their design process in an efficient and cost-effective way.
Furthermore, GNS is engaged in the development of constitutive models and numerical algorithms for advanced engineering materials, such as composites, foams or honeycomb structures.

With the release of version 12.0 the Oasys Suite provides the user with even more tools and functions to reduce the amount of time needed to build and check a LS-DYNA model, allowing the engineer to concentrate more on the actual problem in hand rather than just the task getting a model up and running in LS-DYNA.
Full release notes detailing enhancements and bugs fixed in v12.1 can be found here.
The Windows downloads are provided as single zipped install package. For installation instructions see below.
The LINUX downloads are provided as single gzipped TAR file. For installation instructions see below.
The Oasys 12.1 suite for Windows is suitable for and has been tested on Windows Vista, 7 and 8/8.1.
It will not run on Windows XP. (Microsoft withdrew support for XP in April 2014 and we can no longer support it.)
