Querying SQL Server
Students will learn about queries, joins, transactions, basic stored procedures, basic security and code commenting. This course is designed for beginners who have already completed our introductory course “Introduction to Microsoft SQL Server and Databases”. Students who wish to follow along with the instructor will need to have a computer that is running SQL Express 2012 (free) or SQL Developer 2012. Links for both of these are located within the resource library. *Note: Courses 201-501 will require SQL Developer to follow along. This course will be useful for technology professionals who need to get to know SQL a little better. In order to truly understand this material it is highly recommended that you follow along with the instructor.
SQL Server Reporting Service 2012
SSRS stands for SQL Server Reporting Services. SSRS development is modeled after many Windows software products that allow you to add graphics and format text. In this course you will learn how to use, build, modify, and connect data to SSRS reports. You will also learn about security and some advanced techniques like how to create data maps, KPIs, and subreports and format all types of reports for a great presentation. In order to truly understand this material it is highly recommended that you follow along with the instructor. In order to follow along this course requires that you have a system running SQL Developer 2012 ($45) and have downloaded the companion files. Links for both are located within the resource library.
