Genre: Video Training
In this training kit we take you through Maya’s fluid dynamics system, topics covered here are 2D and 3D fluid containers, shading fluids, nparticle integration with fluids and fluid sculpting.
All scene files are included and the final effects created can be seen in the video below. We start off by exploring some uses for the 2D fluid container by creating an ink dissolve effect. From here we continue with creating smoke and fire in the form of flaming meteorites, in this part of the tutorial we'll be looking at not only creating and shading the smoke and fire but also integrating nparticles with Maya fluids. In the final parts of this tutorial we cover how to use animated geometry to sculpt fluids.
